Hall Fellows

Founders Hall has four Fellows: Prof Tshide Mohapeloa, Mr Elron Fouten, Mr Kevin Wolhter and Mr Thabang Moleko. The Fellows act as advisors to the students and shall enjoy the privilege of dining and participating in the cultural and social events within the Hall.

A Fellow is expected to serve as role models for the personal and academic growth and integration of the student Members of the Hall; Act as advisors and mentors to Members of the Hall; Act as external consultants to the Hall Warden; Where they are able, champion the Hall’s needs to the relevant 老虎机游戏_pt老虎机-平台*官网 authorities.

Professor Tshidi Mohapeloa

Professor Matshediso ‘Tshidi’ Mohapeloa (DBA -TUT, MBA -Mancosa BA -NMU), is currently an Associate Professor,  the Acting Director of the newly formed Rhodes 老虎机游戏_pt老虎机-平台*官网 Centre for Entrepreneurship Rapid Incubator (RU-CFERI) and Coordinator of Postgraduate Diploma (PGDip) in Enterprise Management at the Rhodes Business School.  She is the Co-Chair of Entrepreneurship Development in Higher Education (EDHE)’s community of practice (CoP) in Entrepreneurship Learning and Teaching.

Prior to joining Rhodes Business School she supervised and assisted MBA students from Mancosa and TUT Business School.  

Her diverse work experience ranges from developmental- business-academia. A researcher, a consultant, an academic and a development expert with extensive work in socio-economic and related issues. Areas of expertise include entrepreneurship with a social focus, engaging communities in research with impact, has a keen interest in strengthening innovative solutions that incorporates technology, to mitigate social and environmental challenge. Sees entrepreneurship as a means to an end through working with young budding entrepreneurs, corporate entrepreneurs (intrapreneurs), creatives and other entrepreneurial spaces to create social and innovative solutions.

Prof Mohapeloa publications, research and teaching based on her interests in entrepreneurship with the social impacts outcomes where innovation, sustainability and entrepreneurship benefits the community/ local citizens. Through community engaged research and projects focuses on support for township and survivalist entrepreneurs, cooperatives including those with social impact. Main target are young entrepreneurs, women–led enterprises and local community projects.

She authored and co-authored various research output and publications in peer reviewed journals, and international conferences. Some of her published work in the African Journal of Science, Technology, Innovation and Development, a chapter in an anthology on Teaching & Learning Entrepreneurship – by Learning in Higher Education (LiHE)

Career objective focus on stimulate young creative minds through knowledge sharing and skills development. With background in socio-economic combined with passion for youth, women, children and, people with disabilities (as groups made vulnerable by poverty).

“I believe entrepreneurship can be used as a pathway not only for financial sustainability but to improve people’s quality of life and be good to the planet”.

 

Mr Kevin Wolhuter

Is the Operational Manager / Senior Architectural Technologist at Residentail operations. 

 

Mr Elron Fouten

Is a Lecturer in Psychology Deparmtenr and obtained his Bachelor of Arts (Crime & Social Control) – 老虎机游戏_pt老虎机-平台*官网 of the Western Cape

His teaching areas includes: Human Development,  Social Psychology and Research (Quantitative and Qualitative Methods).

His research interests includes: Men and Masculinities,  Sibling relations; Parenting; Inter-group relations and Critical Psychology

 

 

Mr Thabang Moleko

Thabang Moleko has obtained qualifications in finance, project management , infrastructure and public management .He has Bachelor of commerce degree from Rhodes 老虎机游戏_pt老虎机-平台*官网. He also obtained his Master’s in Business Administration from Nelson Mandela Business School. Thabang has been a dynamic  leader of organisations in the private and public sector. Thabang has been able to work on projects in the international sector for organisations such as the African Development Bank and the International Labour Organisation. Thabang is an experienced portfolio manager, project manager and management consultant. Thabang has experience in in sectors such as corporate finance, management consulting, advisory services, credit analysis, project finance capacity. Thabang is now a Director of a property, finance and strategy management consultancy. Thabang is also an adjunct lecturer in strategy, business management and finance at Nelson Mandela 老虎机游戏_pt老虎机-平台*官网 Business School and Management College of South Africa Business School.

Thabang is the recipient of the Mandela Washington Fellowship which allowed him to train at Morgan State 老虎机游戏_pt老虎机-平台*官网 , Baltimore on public management. Thabang is pursuing his research proposal for his  Doctorate in Business Administration.  Thabang’s research interests are on small town Revitlisation, marketing in emerging markets, entrepreneurship and the strategy of space.

Thabang has been a project manager in private and public sector. Thabang has been able to manage both service and infrastructure projects as a project or portfolio manager. Thabang has worked on key initiatives like SA economic strategy, SA Macro-policy for Home affairs . Developed a Program blueprint for the 2010 World Cup, financing the revitlisation of inner cities and small towns in the Eastern Cape.
